There is a bug of this game. There is no need to remember the positions. After the shapes disappeared, the shape holders, which are in a lighter color in comparison to the background, remained.

I didn't see that. It looks fine to me. I wonder if your monitor was just showing a ghost of the previous image?

I believe this only happened to certain display card and monitor. Anyway, Peter has fixed the problem already.
