Lantern Lights
Game Description
In this game there is a grid of squares divided into a few small areas. You need to put pumpkin lanterns on the squares to light up the whole grid. There are a few rules to follow when putting in the lanterns: each small area must have exactly one lantern and each row and column also must have exactly one lantern. A lantern emits light that covers the whole row and the whole column, and also one space from the lantern in each direction diagonally. A lantern must not be in the light of another.
An important skill is to recognize the patterns formed by the spaces. For example if a small area has only two squares where the lantern can be, then you immediately know that all other squares along the direction of the two squares must be free of lanterns, and you can mark those squares with the cross to remind yourself. Continue making deductions like this and you will be able to solve the puzzle. The faster you finish, the higher your rank.
