This is the 3 men version of Nine Men's Morris. The board is smaller but the game play is actually the same. The game begins with the two players taking turns to put one piece on the board. After all the pieces are put, the players take turns to move one of his pieces to a connected dot. In this game because each player has only 3 pieces, the game is won immediately when a player has aligned his pieces in a straight line. In some versions of Three Men's Morris, the pieces can move to any vacant position, not just to a connected position. We call this version "Nine Holes".
